How private guitar teachers can earn $1000 a day (without working 10 hours a day!)

If you're charging $100 an hour as a guitar teacher, and you're trying to work out how private guitar teachers can earn $1000 a day - you've probably run the math and come to the realisation the only way to make that happen is to work 10+ hours a day 7 days a week and never see the sun again.

But there's a much easier way - my music coaching studio earns $1000 a day.

Zero employees, and I work from home as a private music teacher.

Now, you definitely don't need more students if you're looking to earn more money as a private guitar teacher - you need the RIGHT students.

Think about it, if you're the world's preeminent flamenco guitar teacher - but you're working with campfire guitarists that want to learn a few chords; this simply isn't a good fit.

First up, you're not flexing your true expertise as a teacher - and the student is likely overpaying for the experience.

Instead, if you were to find a flamenco guitarist that just scored a record deal and is about to go into the recording studio for the first time, and 12 weeks later is going on a world tour for 35 dates in four countries - THIS is a much better fit for you as a teacher, but it's also a much better fit for a more valuable offer that some call a "high ticket offer".

For example, as a voice teacher, I don't offer one off hour lessons.

I offer a 12 week intensive program that includes five online courses, 3 special tools I've created specifically for these students, an online community of my students who are out there in the real world applying my approach in the recording studio and world tours and quantified one on one coaching with me.

Why quantified one on one coaching?

here's the thing - as a guitar teacher, you shouldn't be wasting your valuable time teaching your students how to tune their guitar/tuning their guitar for them at the start of session.

Instead, this is something that you can automate - so that when they DO take one on one coaching with you, it's for a valid reason.

Within my 12 week vocal intensive, I offer 4-5 hours of coaching within the program, and it runs around $2-3k depending on the goal/timeframe/student.

Now, this all depends on the right students.

If I was working with random singers who wanted to sing a rap song at karaoke - it's a horrible match for me.

But, if I'm working with a rock singer that's about to go on their first world tour - THIS is a goal that I can truly get behind and flex my true expertise as a singer who has been in the recording studio professional and been out both singing and coaching on professional tours.

This makes my offer much more valuable, and much more likely for the student to go for it.

Think about it - they can absolutely go and work with the dude down the street that gives vocal lessons for $30 instead of working with me; but, can that guy prepare them for the rigors of life on the road as a singer? Looking after their voice on the various flights they're going to be taking around the world? Various audio quality of 30 different venues? Technique to preserve and prepare their voice for night after night shows?

Sure, go and take those $30 lessons and let me know how you go.

If you're offering a 2 or 3 thousand dollar program that guarantees incredible niche results - you really only need 10 students a month to hit $1k a day, maybe even less if you set this up as a payment plan over three months that brings in recurring $1k each month from each client.

Do the math.

How many students do you need to work with every single day to earn $1k a day on your current hourly rate?

It's a psychotic answer, right?

Now, if you were offering a $2000 program that runs over 12 weeks and includes three hours of one on one coaching with you - how many students do you need to work with each week to make that happen?
